Manure Transport Program

If you have manure you don’t need or need manure you don’t have the Maryland Department of Agriculture may be able to help you through their manure matching and manure transport services.

Cost share is available for transporting poultry litter a minimum of 7 miles and other manure a minimum of 1 mile within an operation. There are no distance requirements when sending manure from one operation to another. The nutrient management plan(s) must show that the sending farm cannot use the manure and that the receiving farm can. For more information contact the Talbot Soil Conservation District.
