Cost Share Programs (MACS)
The Maryland Cost Share Program helps producers pay for best management practices to be installed on
farmland. MACS will pay up to 87.5% of installation cost of the following practices for qualified landowners:
- Waste Storage
- Dead Bird Composting Facility
- Heavy Use Area Protection
- Roof Runoff Management System
- Spring Development
- Trough or Tank
- Riparian Buffer
- Grassed Waterway
- Winter Cover Crop
- Field Border
- Filter Strip
- Stream Fencing
- Stream Crossing
- Critical Area Planting
